Our History
5th String Music has been in business since the early 1970s. Susan Snyder became the owner in 1980 and moved the store to its former location in 1988. In 2022, we moved from Pleasantburg to 3795 East North Street. Susan will only carry products that she trust and will play herself; so we carry Eastman Guitars and Eastman Mandolins, Larrivée Guitars, Gold Tone Banjos and L.R. Baggs Guitars.
Our Mission
We here at 5th String Music want you to have the best experience possible and that's why we do our business face to face as often as we can. We try our best to carry the products we know will sell but also the ones that will last. For that reason we inspect every instrument from top to bottom and if they need to be setup then we set them up to insure that you get the most out of it and you can enjoy it for years to come.
We believe building relationships with our customers enables us to run a better business and create a better community of musicians overall.
